FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 21, 2014; Andover, MA
Yankee Alliance announces a new sole aggregation contract with Stryker Sustainability Solutions to provide cost savings and medical waste diversion through single-use device (SUD) reprocessing.
Reprocessing SUDs is one of the most impactful initiatives that hospitals and surgery centers around the nation are undertaking, in order to reduce supply costs and medical waste. Many Yankee Alliance members partner with Stryker Sustainability Solutions for SUD reprocessing, putting them in the distinguished company of other leading organizations that have implemented reprocessing programs. In 2013, Yankee Alliance members saved an estimated $4.9 million in supply costs and diverted over 119 tons of medical waste with Stryker Sustainability Solutions. By working with your Stryker Sustainability account manager, your hospital will have the opportunity to identify savings opportunity down to item-level detail, and start realizing savings immediately.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with Yankee Alliance, and look forward working with its healthcare organization members to maximize cost savings and waste avoidance through reprocessing,” said Larry Filippini, Vice President of Sales at Stryker Sustainability Solutions. “Our team is excited to engage with Yankee Alliance members to help them identify additional savings opportunities through both new and existing programs.”
