Yankee Alliance announces that Mike Cunningham has joined the company as Director, Foodservice. Mike is an accomplished Foodservice Operations professional with 40 years of experience. Mike will oversee the day to day operations and growth of the food service program for acute care, long term acute care, long term care, and rehabilitation hospital Yankee Alliance members. His focus will be to develop programs that will reduce costs in foodservice areas.
Cathy Spinney, Senior Vice President Member Services, says “Yankee Alliance is pleased to bring Mike on board. He comes with many years of foodservice experience including long term acute care. As a subject matter expert in the foodservice area, Mike will provide members with innovative approaches to reduce costs.”
Mike will also work with senior hospital administrators, supply chain leaders, and key department heads to support the implementation of cost savings contracts, utilization improvements, product conversions, and other supply chain improvements in the food service area.
Mike comes to Yankee Alliance from Steward Health Care where he was the Director of Nutrition & Food Service at their flag ship hospital, St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton MA. Mike also provided strategic leadership to the overall corporate Nutrition & Food Service program at Steward Health. Previously Mike was the Corporate Nutrition & Food Service Director for Hebrew SeniorLife, Director of Food Service at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Director of Dinning Services at Boston College, Director of Food & Auxiliary Services at Brandeis University and a former Director of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association.
